Kaatsheuvel, 9 November 2016 – As of September 2016 KTBA has qualified Preventive Control Qualified Individuals (PCQI) at their disposal. These are consultants that are completely informed about the changes in the American Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). They can support and advise companies on compliance with the new rules and regulations of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
These rules and regulations apply to any company that supplies to the American market. The whole chain, including producers, processors, packers, storage sites, and distributors are all subject to the FSMA. All links within the chain must set up a Food Safety Plan. The new FSMA sets additional demands for each component. One of these demands is that the plan must be set up by a PQCI.
KTBA-consultants have completed intense training with the American International Food Protection Training Institute, enabling them to help companies comply with the FDA’s demands.
